Audit and Corporate Governance (Accessible Transport Appeals) Panels A and B (Camden Council)

The Panels consider appeals for the awards of Freedom Passes and Taxicards and are formed of 3 Councillors each. They meet every 2 months (when there is business to consider) and are assisted by an independent medical adviser and legal adviser. The Panels are the second and final stage of an appeal, with the first stage being an officer-led appeal. Should an appeal be rejected at the first stage, applicants are permitted to appeal to this Councillor Panel. Members of the public should note that due to the sensitive and personal nature of the appeals, the Panel always passes a resolution to exclude the press and public under the Local Government Act (1972).
