Consumer Council for Water is the statutory water watchdog body investigating complaints against the water and sewerage companies if a customer has tried and failed to resolve an issue with their water company directly. Deal with complaints about Thames Water, Veolia Water Central (formerly Three Valleys Water), Sutton and East Surrey Water, Southern Water, Veolia Water Southeast(formerly Folkestone and Dover Water), Portsmouth Water and South East Water in the London and South East region. Rivers and lakes are covered by the Environment Agency.
