Cartoon Museum

(Formerly the British Cartoon Centre)
Main gallery on the history of cartoons, comics and cartoon strips. Also has exhibition gallery, classes, lectures, bookshop and library. The Heneage Library (Wed 11am-3.30pm and by appointment) contains over 6,000 books on cartoons, comics, caricature and animation. There is also a collection of 6,500 comics. The museum provides education sessions in cartooning and animation for primary and secondary school visits and for children during half-term and holidays.
