The Team has a Council-wide remit to manage and promote the use of accurate and timely geographic information to staff and the public. This information is delivered via web GIS, 'Where's my nearest?', maGIc and MapInfo desktop GIS. It offers a variety of services including data visualisation, information graphics, web mapping, spatial analysis, 3D modelling, advice/consultancy, management of geographic information, system administration and map production. The Land and Property Gazetteer (LPG) team is also part of the GIS Team. The LPG is Camden's corporate address database. It provides the common property reference that links together disparate datasets. This data integration makes possible initiatives such as the CRM, e-forms and 'Where's my nearest?'. The team maintains addresses and spatial extents for all properties in Camden and supplies this information to business systems and external partners such as the Metropolitan Police.
