British Library Sound Archive

Check with the Reader Admissions Office before visiting. International collection of over 3 million recordings of music, drama, literature, oral history, accents, and wildlife sound, including access to the BBC sound archives. The Sound Archive Information Service is located in Humanities Floor 2 Reading Room along with an extensive open access collection of printed materials related to sound. The Listening and Viewing Service is in the Rare Books and Music Reading Room and is usable by appointment only.
