Health services are an important part of our Local Offer provision.

Health services are arranged by Camden Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) which is part of the National Health Service. The CCG is made up of GPs from across Camden and at least one registered nurse and one secondary (hospital) care specialist doctor. The CCG plans and buy healthcare services for the residents of Camden.

Camden CCG works in partnership with the London Borough of Camden to help improve children and young people's health and wellbeing. Camden CCG aims to improve the health and quality of life for people by arranging health and social care services delivered closer to your home and where everyone providing them is working together with you.

In Camden, Health services are provided separately, jointly or through MOSAIC depending on the child or young person's level of special educational needs, disability and complex health needs.

In Camden different health services are provided by a range of NHS providers, which are;

  • Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust
  • Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust
  • Tavistock & Portman NHS Foundation Trust
  • Whittington Health NHS Trust

The 4 NHS provider organisations work closely together as a Partnership, so that they share information and staff work together to meet the needs of children, young people and their families. For children with additional needs, the health services they provide are joined into a single service called ‘Camden Integrated Children’s Service’. Camden Integrated Children’s Service is accountable to Camden CCG and the London Borough of Camden to ensure that it provides high quality and timely services to children and young people who need additional support.
