South Camden Open Minded

(Formerly known as South Camden Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Camden Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services CAMHS)

One of a number of services in Camden for children, young people, their families and carers who are experiencing emotional, behavioural and mental health problems.

The service is divided into 2 teams; North and South. These teams provide clinic and community based services for example in schools, health and voluntary agency settings.

The CAMHS team include: psychiatrists, psychotherapists, clinical psychologists, educational psychologists, nurses, family therapists and social workers.

They offer assessments and a range of interventions including family therapy, individual therapy and group therapy according to the need of the child or young person.

Client Group
Children and young people 0-18 years. All children with a Camden GP are eligible. Children who attend a Camden school but live outside the borough may also be able to use the service in schools.

Referrals Policy
Via the Joint Intake Referral Service using a Camden CAF form or referral letter. Patients can telephone the service to discuss how best to self refer (Tel: 020-8938 2638).
