Kingsgate Community Centre is run by a voluntary Board of Directors made up of people who live or work in the local community. Day to day service provision is delivered by a staff team and volunteers.
The aim of the association is to promote a range of benefits within the Kilburn Ward of Camden, by linking with local and voluntary organisations and members of the community in a common effort to provide a wide range of social, educational, welfare and leisure activities with the objective of improving conditions of life for the local community. We aim to provide a range of low-cost activities to people that would otherwise not be able to access them.
We are able to do this through funding from London Borough of Camden as well as fundraising activities through various trusts and charities. We also hire out rooms as office space, as well having rooms and halls for hire for meetings, events and children's parties.
The building also contains the Somali Cultural Centre, a Somali run charity that aims to promote opportunities, education and support the Somali diaspora in North West London.
