The NLWA is responsible for the disposal of waste collected by constituent boroughs, encouraging the reclamation and recycling of waste, clearing refuse from civic amenity sites, and for making arrangements for the storage and disposal of abandoned vehicles. Seven London Boroughs are represented on the authority (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest), with each borough having two councillors on the Authority. Camden's councillors are Adam Harrison and Richard Olszewski. The Chair of the Authority is Councillor Clyde Loakes (Labour) of the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
