Camden Advisory Service for Deaf Children and Young People (Camden Council)

The Camden Advisory Service for Deaf Children and Young People is a team of specially qualified Teachers of the Deaf.

We are part of the Camden Sensory Advisory and Teaching Service. The Camden Advisory Service for Deaf Children and Young People supports the inclusion of deaf children and young people from birth to 25 years.

The team works with children, young people and their families at home, in early years settings, mainstream schools, FE settings, special education settings and hospitals.

We aim to help families and schools understand the impact of sensory needs on learning and to raise the educational standards and achievements of deaf children and young people. The service provides advice, training and support on all aspects of deaf awareness, audiology, equipment, language and communication development, learning, social / emotional well-being, post-16 studies and support through each transition stage.
