The Camden Advisory Service for Deaf Children and Young People is a team of specially qualified Teachers of the Deaf.
We are part of the Camden Sensory Advisory Service. The Camden Advisory Service for Deaf Children and Young People supports the inclusion of children and young people diagnosed with hearing needs from birth to 25 years.
The team works with children, young people and their families at home, in early years settings, mainstream schools, FE settings, special education settings and hospitals.
We aim to help families and schools understand the impact of sensory needs on learning and to raise the educational standards and achievements of children and young people with hearing needs. The service provides advice, training and support on all aspects of deaf awareness, audiology, equipment, language and communication development, learning, social / emotional well-being, post-16 studies and support through each transition stage.
