Axis @ The Hive

(Also known as Minding The Gap)

Axis is a health and wellbeing service in Camden designed for and created by young people. We are based at a youth base, called The Hive.

We are a holistic health and wellbeing service for young people aged 16 to 24 in Camden. We offer help and support with education, employment, housing, sexual health, substance misuse, personal development and health and wellbeing. At the Hive, we also offer a space to relax, study take part in events and activities, meet new people and get information about local services.

Who does your service provide for?

Young people living in Camden aged 16 to 24.

How can a child or young person start using the service?

Young people can self-access the service by visiting The Hive during drop-in hours. Young People can be forwarded to the Axis Team by other services. Alternatively, the Axis Team can visit other services to collectively help support young people.

How are decisions made about eligibility for your service?

Decisions are made via team discussion. Young people are matched to the inclusion criteria.

How do you communicate with service users and how are they involved in decision making/planning?

We welcome service user feedback and we also have a Youth Board which is compiled of young people and ex-service users.

Is your service fully accessible?

We have an accessible lift and two accessible toilets.
