Books, periodicals, newspapers, maps, illustrations, archives and other items about the Borough past and present, and family history. Parish vestry and Council records 17th to 20th centuries, including valuation lists until 1989. Archives of local organisations and individuals, including Highgate Cemetery registers. Consultation of archives is by prior appointment.

In response to the coronavirus crisis, Camden Local Studies and Archives Centre is currently operating a reduced service. The Centre cannot currently be accessed without prior appointment. However, if you wish to consult the archives you can do so by prior appointment. Kindly note that appointments are for one hour only and that spaces available are limited. We also continue to answer telephone and written enquiries and are able to undertake reasonable research on behalf of customers. Should you wish to make an appointment – or if you have an enquiry - email localstudies@camden.gov.uk or telephone 020 7974 6342 or 020 7974 3860. We continue to give and host live online talks and to offer recorded presentations and other resources on our website. We will continue to review government advice and will update residents if further changes need to be made
