Greater London Volunteering (GLV) is transitioning to become a new hub for London’s civil society, a key part of the delivery of the Way Ahead. We’re expecting to be particularly busy as we set up this new organisation and lay the foundations for new resources and services for London’s civil society.
Greater London Volunteering is the regional partnership body for volunteering in London. Members include Volunteer Centres, large Volunteer-involving Organisations and Volunteer Development Agencies. We offer strategic and capacity-building support, coordinate activities and broker services to over 90,000 volunteers and over 14,000 organisations.
Working at national and regional levels with partners such as London Funders and the Greater London Authority (GLA), and at local level with our Volunteer Centres, we seek to inform and influence local, regional and national government, decision-makers and funders on the value of high-quality, coordinated volunteering activity.
We help generate more volunteering activity in Greater London, promote the importance of volunteering to a vibrant capital and increase the quality of experience in volunteering.
We provide a voice for our members, consulting them and advocating for a strong support structure for volunteering.
