Camden Physical Disability Outreach Service

The service focuses on the educational and social aspects of supporting a child with physical disabilities in a mainstream school setting, home and in the community and is designed to support inclusion.

This service has an important role to play in school improvement and supports schools in providing good practice. It offers training to develop access physically to the environment and academically to the curriculum.

It develops whole school ethos by working with staff on areas such as assessment and tracking of progress, PEEP training , risk assessments for school trips and social inclusion.

The service importantly supports families through and across transitions from early years through primary school and on to secondary school. It works with colleagues in health and the Disabled Children's Team in MOSAIC, the integrated service for disabled children to provide family support in school and at home.
