Somers Town Youth Centre

The centre offers support and services to young people aged 13 to 19 and up to 25 with learning difficulties and disabilities. We also run some services and activities from South Camden Youth Access Point (SCYAP) and the Surma Centre. We aim to provide tailor-made support for young people and their families to stay safe, be healthy, succeed in education, employment and training and play a positive role in their communities. Early identification and response to emerging problems for young people and families is also one of our key priorities.

Programmes include: Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Arts Awards, first aid, compulsory basic training (for mopeds) and other accredited programmes and projects, drop-in youth centre sessions, table tennis, non-contact boxing, gym, football, go-karting, cinema, volunteering, drug and alcohol awareness, area-based youth forum, mentoring and one-to-one support to address individual and family needs, homework clubs, young women’s project, disability project.
