I Can Sing! Music Theatre School offers students of all abilities the opportunity to experience the excitement of musical theatre training and performance. During I Can Sing!, students train in a variety of stage disciplines with leading professional artists, gaining new skills, confidence and building firm friendships. There is no audition process, and, unlike similar schemes, I Can Sing! reinforces the ensemble performing tradition and focuses on repertoire ranging from classic Broadway to original HMDT Music commissions.
The Minis (School Years 1 and 2) take both a singing and drama/movement class and an instrumental class, through which they will develop strong team-building skills and confidence, learn instrumental skills, and participate in exciting performances. From Junior 1 (Year 3+) upwards, students take part in a series of classes that aim to provide comprehensive music theatre training and prepare students for termly performances; Singing; Dance; Drama; and Full Stagecraft.
